A Yuletide Sonnet

How crisp the frost I tred beneath my feet, as I, with merry heart, do fervent go, toward the chime of bells, my calm retreat, and sit on pew, in wonder, eyes adoe. Sweet sound of heaven's chorus I do hear, with tender prose to melt my fragile heart. Loves fellowship, draws families far near, past grievances and anger fall apart. Priest reads God's book in clear angelic voice, the word from God, of God, now son of man. This eve, such words, now call me to rejoice. Our saviour came, soon sacrificial lamb. So joy and hope refreshed in thee tonight. Lord Jesus, babe, now our eternal light. 12.24.2021
