A Young Boy With a Brave Heart

This poem is dedicated to a person I know who had been abused and abandoned by his parents when he was a young boy, but with his hard working and great mind, now he becomes a very successful business person...

A young boy
Was sitting alone on the road
In the cold
Shivering
Big innocent eyes
Were full of forlorn

People were walking on the road
With a glance at him
Children were held in their parents' arms
Those happy smiles
Were so strange to him

Tears was in his eyes
Coldness was on his face
The color of the world
Under the Sun
In his eyes
Was pale

He was struggling to find
A way to survive
Nobody in the world with care
Only the night wind kissing his face
And Moonlight whispering to his ears

His body became cold
So did his heart
No one can touch
The world was like a cursed land
A huge net
Covering his heart
With darkness
Without warmth

He began to cry inside
Nobody cared in the world dry
He dreamed to be strong like the earth
To be free like the sky
Surviving became the courage
With a sensitive brave heart

Whatever he accepted was for him
Whatever he rejected shall never touch him
There was a divine purpose
For him
To grow

And today he smiles
Embraces the World with his sensitive love

Nice poem Yunyan... I think you should revisit the line: 'Whatever he rejected shall never touched him'. Cheers
