A Young Body In An Old Soul
I turn on the news, when I watch TV
I get angry about the I see
House prices up
And the our self esteems down
Statues being vandalized in most our towns
Well I guess Im a cut from a different breed
But i'm starting to get stress and anxiety
What's going on
Hell I don't know
I guess I'm a young body
With a damn old soul
I've got a lot of friends in the piney woods
All they need is my word and it's understood
Country boys sharing a helping hand
So shut your damn mouth about a race war man
When I get in my truck, and go downtown
There's some sissy screaming about a damn pronoun
Well maybe I'm wrong, I guess I can't see
But the fact you're screaming proves the fact that you're free
What's going on
Hell I don't know
I guess I'm a young body
With a damn old soul
If I started to govern this great land
Id lead by an example by being a man
Id show pictures of my mom, and grandma too
There ain't nothing too hard for these women to do
Let's get back to the years I believe
Where family was the main priority
Hell I don't know but what see
We’re screwing up the greatest damn society
(Bridge)
Our kids can't say grace
Are you a woman or a man?
We've lost all respect for this great land
Let's get back
To you and me
Forget about these liberal policies
How has this happened hell I don't know
I'm just a young body
With a damn old soul
Yea let’s get back
And take back our home
I'm just a young body
With a damn old soul
