A Year and a Half

For a year and a half,
           Black was covering my heart.
I went crazy, I went blind,
I wasn't able to see the light.

For a year and a half,
The men I met were my only vision,
           Leading me to a corner,
           Tempting me with fire.

For a year and a half
I was searching for the light,
          Until He came
          And brightened my sight.
