A Writer's Prayer

My brain is blocked
The words have flown from me
Walls are built around my thoughts
So none can sneak away
Oh help me please
I beg of thee
Free my thoughts
So words can flow from me
Writing is how I cope
Words are all I know
I can not release the stress in me
Unless my words can be
Set free

Ah yes...that old devil writer's block...we all get a visit from him from time to time! Don't worry....you are meant to be a poet...it's evident in your lovely poems...it will soon be back flowing like a fountain. God Bless~ Carrie

It does get frustrating at times. I agree with your dad, though. I am in the middle of a wonderful book and it is great escape! An excellent "Writer's Prayer" we can all relate to at times. Love, Shar

Sarah - I reckon we all have those times I know I do - What I do when I can't seem to write is read a lot - No better way to break out your words than taking others in - God Bless you sweetheart - Love Dad
