A Word That Sits On Your Lips
you can find it under the bark of age old trees
it lives in the skeletons of fallen leaves
you can hear it bounce off
a carpeted climb
concrete laden steel
it’s on your mind
on the tip of your tongue
a word that sits on your lips
a thought
screams below your vocal chords
pointless
so never spoken
"if only i had"
"what if"
"if"
