A Woman I Know

A woman I know, was once part of the ongoing show. Got sick and lost her mind. Without it once giving, now less than kind. Can't help it, out of her control, she now makes mountains out of molehills. Can't find the right pill, Wondering is there a chance she ever will? She thinks she is a burden, But all pray that certainly, that won't be the final curtain. She's unaware, but there are many hands, holding her in place, and steady. Not one heart among them, feels she is petty. All just waiting for the day she becomes ready. She asked me to write this poem, about a ray of hope. since where she's at now, her answer to living life is nope. She needs distance now from the imagined yet real in her mind, ghosts that haunt her day and night, new venue needed, so she will put up a fight. Must be close to the best of her, a daughter the real deal. Whose love is unconditional, and never ending. Never will give up, despite what's pending. Can do the things that need to be done, In a new place, the chance for a different ending. She can then write her own words, a woman I know. Again on the stage with us, part of the show. Not just mouthing words to placate, for all us she knows..
