A Wish Upon a Moonlight Star
Upon a translucent lamp lit orb eve,
magical butterflies I did perceive.
I watched them flit without a care,
glistening specters dancing on air.
Flying up into the sky’s caress,
glistening lights of gentleness.
I made a wish upon the dog star,
that shone above the soft sandbar.
I gazed with awe upon a midnight sea,
hoping fortunes would come to me.
That this world with light be blessed,
I humbly and generously expressed.
Nature’s miracles are tranquility,
riding upon twilight’s silvery seas.
