A Wish For the New Year

Dreams upon recent times
thinking of those  
within a life's design
the ones whose hearts 
are filled with love
filled with joy
faith and hope
shared memories from before
those hearts of steel
the bonds we build
thinking of love ones 
both here and gone
when times have changed
our journey continues on
a wish for the new year
a better day and beyond
for families and friends
special dear ones 
the soldiers, the saints 
the orphans, the sick
through tears we shed
and laughter too
a wish for the new year
thinking of you.
