A Wish For Spring

A Wish For Spring

a finely pleated skirt blossoms
on a just new Spring afternoon
then rushes back to wrap around legs
strutting free of silk stockings
bare feet glory in fresh green blades
recently pushed above the earth
suddenly soft mist of rain scatters all.

Spring is my favourite time of year...especially the month of May -- Oh how invigorating it all is around then! Lovely airy feel to your poem, Patricia -- how I already long for a new Spring! My very best wishes. :) john

This morning I read "Reverie" and "A Wish For Spring." I am sitting with a second cuppa, very amazed how your words call "HALT" to my morning mind! A reminder (thank you!) to slow down, to savor... moments. And words, such as yours, which poke holes in production— tasks imagined and fretted over. Being... comes to mind, rather than doing. Again, thanks. ~ j

Thank you for one of the most special comments I have ever received. It is my fervant wish to bring people back to the small beauties that surround us every day.
