A Wish, a Hope, a Wing, a Prayer

A wish, a hope, a wing, a prayer
   Be it fervent or fluidly flung in the air
Something to unite a divided nation
   To reflect our best, our deepest aspirations

And an orator to deliver it on an eagle's wing
   Ringing phrases to make our collective heart sing
Is there somewhere a voice, our vision to renew
   Or is this just a pipe-dream, nevermore to come true

They have no interest in helping to heal the country. It's their way or the highway.
