A Winter Rose

A Winter Rose 2-1-24 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Winter Rose A pale rose blooms through winter’s breath, Perfume born from a mystic place, Shivering blossom shines through grey Enfolded in the Spirit’s grace. Touched by sighs of the Morning Star Rose wears crystals of frosty lace, Rises beyond a crown of thorns Enfolded in the Spirit’s grace. Though petals droop with solstice spells Profane bedlam of ice erased Dewy buds chant a cradle psalm Enfolded in the Spirit’s grace. A pale rose blooms through winter’s breath, Enfolded in the Spirit’s grace.

Wow!! A rose in winter. Amazing. You must live where it is not as cold as it is here even though we are not as cold as some places. Sara K

Thank you so much Sara! Last week a pale pink rose appeared on a bush outside my kitchen window. I was so inspired by not only its beauty and scent but its courage to bloom in the middle of winter that I wanted to share its story! I always enjoy your poems and look forward to reading them! "Rises beyond a crown of thorns Enfolded in the Spirit’s grace" it seems to be protected and is actually a strong and powerful flower, it's petals are thick and resistant to the harsh weather! Beautifully penned, Sam! It moved me and I am faving it.

Dear Sam, What a breathtaking ode to resilience and beauty amidst adversity. The imagery of a pale rose defiantly blooming through winter’s harsh embrace evokes a sense of awe and wonder. It unfolds like petals, delicate yet profound, as the rose becomes a symbol of transcendence and grace. An exquisite piece of artistry, Sam, that touches the human spirit’s enduring quest for hope and transformation. - Blessings, Daniel

Greetings, Daniel! Happy Saturday. I am deeply moved by the grace of your words and your profound interpretation of this poem. Truly we are on a "quest" (great word!) for transformation through grace. This brave little rose outside my kitchen has been a source of awe and inspiration as I watch the winter storms roll through with strong winds and torrential rains yet it will not give up in its determination to bloom! What a joy to have such beauty as the inspiration for this kyrielle "song." Hope you are well! Sending blessings of the rose to you!

Hi Sara! Hope you are having a good weekend! Sometimes I feel like this rose. Yet, I always have to remind myself all of us are "enfolded in grace." This poem is based on a brave, pale pink rose that is blooming in my rose garden IN February!!! The bush is next to my kitchen window and inspires me every day - even when doing dishes! What an amazing testament it is to courage and faith in the midst of storms. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this poem and for your Fav! And honor, indeed! Sending you the blessings of the pale, pink rose!

Morning SO! Thank you so much for your words of support and ever so thoughtful feedback! I have a rose garden outside of my kitchen window. This week, while the other bushes are dormant, one bush has produced a single, pale pink rosebud that is now blooming even through the heavy rain and winds of current storms. It is such a picture of courage and the will of beauty to survive, to transform winter into a picture of enduring beauty. It reminded me there are so many people, who, like this rose, transform storms into models of perseverance enfolded by grace. Sending you blessings and my gratitude!!
