A Weeping Willow
Theres a tree I know,
Its just around the block.
It stands the test of time,
Just like a ticking clock.
When I pass by this tree,
I have to make a stop.
Of profound beauty, & grace,
So unique, just cant get enough.
Looking at this tree,
I see the sorrow it displays.
How its leaves, carry a burden
Of what human emotions convey.
Sadness, confusion, turmoil.
Each leaf has a name.
Calling anyone, who can hear it.
To leave there hurt & pain.
Its roots channel, each feeling and
Transplant it to each branch
It grows, long, slender & silvery
Almost, falling to the ground.
Outpouring love & compassion
Knowing, each one of us still has a chance.
To change our conditions, nurture & remain.
Be still in our actions, Replemish & start again.
Just like the weeping willow flourishes
In the harshest of times, so does
Our stregnth endure, till the end of time.
