A Wave In the Ocean Lost Forever
As he turns his head
The shadows dance upon his face.
Each day a new wrinkle appears upon his body.
As the man breathes another breath,
A life is taken.
Each day he cries for what could have been
Every moment that passes
He wonders when death will present itself
The mystery stays in his head
On what could have been and what will be.
His head is too much in the past and future
He is forgetting to live in the present
Life sweeps away from him
Like a wave in the ocean hitting the shore
Never to be seen again.
He is too much in his 'what if'
He doesn't take the chances in life.
His breath is not a waste
For this man is an ordinary man who is in every person
He is worry and he is fear
He is faithless and he is afraid.
He is what comes out at night but never in daylight
For he is too afraid to show himself.
He is what the devil placed in all of us.
He is afraid to be despised by mankind
And he is ashamed of by the Father,
He is SIN.
