A Watching Owl

Brilliant the Moon shone this night

A watching owl, unmoving, sits.

The world bathed in silver light

As owl and prey battle wits,

Which one or t'other will manage it.

Gary, I like this poem. Always liked the Southern version "t'other". Owls look so noble and fly silent as Silent One. -Richard
