A Wanderer's Cry
A Wanderer's Cry
From afar, I've journeyed, lost and alone
Here i am again back in the same place so many times
My heart heavy with shame down on my knees, my soul overthrown
Countless times I've fallen, strayed from the way
Yet, Your forgiveness, Lord, always finds its stay
I've stumbled, I've risen, only to fall again
My regrets, a river, ever-flowing in pain
But still, Your mercy, like morning dew
Refreshes my soul, anew
Your patience, a wonder, beyond human grasp
A love that endures, through every stumbling pass
When darkness enveloped me, Your light shone bright
Guiding me back, to the path of righteousness and light
Though I've failed, time and again
Your grace, a lifeline, pulls me from the pain
You lift me up, on feeble knees
And set my feet, on stable ground, at ease
From the depths of my soul, I cry out to You
A grateful heart, for mercy anew
For every mistake, every misstep and fall
You've been my refuge, my Savior, through it all
Your love, a flame, that burns like a fire
Purifying my heart, my soul's greatest desire
To stand before You, faultless and true
A miracle of grace, born anew
I come from far, with scars and with shame
Yet, You embrace me, with an endless claim
Of forgiveness, of love that never fades
A Father's heart, that forever stays
Still, You stand me on my feet
A new creation, in Your mercy's sweet retreat
Where regrets fade, and hope begins
In Your presence, my heart finds its wins.
