A Walk Through Our Parent's House
Our parent's house is beautiful, simply because we lived there.
The house had five bedrooms and a spacious living-room.
The living-room had an autumn patterned sofa and comfortable chairs,
A beautiful table and a hand carved chest that we inherited from our grandmother Elfrieda.
Two velvet green chairs and table which were ever so comfortable,
There was a china cabinet with beautiful dishes.
I really liked the Indian carpets in the living-room,
The creme beige floor length curtains that framed the large windows.
A table with chairs where we all used to dine and have conversations.
Beautiful paintings of great artists, when I retired I inherited an Albrecht Duerer
painting.
The recreation room had a library and a comfortable sofa,
A television where we watched our favorite programs.
The kitchen had nice honey comb cupboards and a place to dine,
My parents house was carpeted beautifully.
There was a beautiful Magnolia tree on the front lawn,
Our parents would plant forget-me-nots and white lilies which would appear with the spring thaw.
The five bedrooms were decorated nicely, there was a Florida room,
A very spacious garden , I had contributed seven spruces for the garden.
What good memories of our parents house,
Where we lived with happiness and God's blessing.
