A Walk Into Eternity

Blowing In The Wind A Walk Into Eternity It’s time I took these childhood memories and placed them in the Backroads of my mind, And to look upon this new adventure in this stage of my lifetime. To gaze and wonder how many roads must I cross in this lifetime. Will this be the first of many questions I will ask as I pass through this time. How many questions will go unanswered before I learn the reasons why, How many paths will I venture on without knowing how or why. And when I’ve come full circle and my years dwindle down so slowly, In the coolness of the evening breeze I see them come softly into my memory. Those happy times and those sometimes sad, Memories of the full life I had. I close my eyes and all those who left before me now stand, It’s time for me to follow them as I gently take their hands. On this one last road they come to walk with me, This one last walk into eternity.
