A Walk In Trafford Square

A walk in Trafford Square The mighty buildings stood on guard, Their weapon lampposts right at hand, Their mighty feet stood firm in the ground, The rest of their army ready in a steady band. The cars lined the roads like pearls, The people in and out of the mall, A parade of people walk past, Some for work and some for the evening ball. The road lay flat, The pavement stood wide, People talk and people laugh, Eating ice – creams by the side. The city’s heart lied in this Square, Which stood a few years back almost bare, Today it is what makes people crowd, And what makes them stare and makes them proud.
