A Voice In My Soul
I climbed up to the mountains peak,
Looked down at all the world below
I stood in awe of all God has done
As tears began to flow
A transcending peace fell upon me
I felt his presence so very near
The rushing wind was swirling all around
And his voice became so clear
He said, " I loved you from the beginning,
When you almost died at birth
And when your father beat you
And made you feel you had no worth
And even when you turned away from me
I patiently waited for your return
I loved you through the broken hearts
I felt how much they burned
I've been waiting for this moment to arrive
So you know how much your loved
I want to wash your hurts away
And prepare a home for you here above.
I only ask of you this one request
That you speak to others of this day,
And tell them of my love for them
So they too, can reside with me someday.
All for a Loving God
