A Voice Discovered

Screams of rage break free
A voice that was lost before
Feeling tied but can not see.

Eyes glazed over with intent
Anger surfaces with results
Shattered silence now bent.

Everyone says I’m just quiet
Judging by the outside only
Time to show them all a riot.

A warrior from within is free
Taking everything now said
A new found strength to see.

Fighting for my own rights
Taking the role as a leader
Writing with a voice at nights
