A Visit To the Bronte Museum

Today I went to Haworth to the Bronte Museum It was simply INCREDIBLE Looking back at the lives of Emily Anne and Charlotte Bronte The tragic lives of the family Of their siblings dying so young An Alcoholic brother The death of their beloved mother How their father coped bringing up 6 children in poverty YET despite all this they became accomplished writers You may have read the books or seen the TV adaptations Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights to name but two Seeing manuscripts, poems and personal effects was so moving If you ever get the chance to go – do it - you won’t be disappointed I won’t leave it another 20 years before I visit Yorkshire again!! It is the most incredible place Tim and the surrounding countryside is so beautiful - do also get to Amsterdam to Anne Frank's house if you can. I've been 3 times now and still get a shiver down my spine when I go up into the rooms they lived in. Hugs as ever Jan xx

The countryside in Yorkshire is so varied and it is truly stunning, and the people are so friendly. Going into the Bronte museum reminded me of going to Anne Franks House in Amsterdam - just get chills down your spine it is so emotional to look at their lives and the hardships they endured.. I can't wait to visit Malta again later on this year :-) Hugs Jan x
