A Visit from Butterfly

A butterfly flew by my window today.

He fluttered to and fro

in front of my window pane.

I guess he just wanted to say hello

for my hello and good bye where just the same.

For in an instant he was gone.

Where he went I couldn’t see

and where he came from is a mystery.

But it was nice for him to greet

For me see him so close was a treat.
