A Vision
The universe has too many questions,
Where science and scripture are put to the test.
And if we allow our petty divides to continue,
We'll only secure a future of racial and social unrest.
That's because our nature is curious beyond limits,
Observing what's seen and imagining what's not.
While leaving some half-answered solutions, requiring
More searching where the truth is finally caught.
These avenues travel along the same horizon,
Seeking a future, as well as, the past.
Even though the roots are often believed
Different, the fruits may hopefully last.
Noteworthy during this short-lived history,
Is mankind's effort to find God and beyond.
Yet while this has given some peace and power,
Countless others might claim they've only been conned.
If we have learned anything from a wise and old mentor,
It is those teachings showing strength from the whole.
As we struggle to be righteous and inclusive,
Avoiding the dangers to divide and extol.
It's clearly seen throughout global legacies,
The laws of man drew from seeds, often divine.
With simple wisdom of insight and surviving,
A complex universe with no dividing line.
