A View of the Lake

You walk in beauty like darkness begs the eve for light
You walk straight through it like the sun shining bright

You show grace like grand royalty
All the while true beauty is what I see

You are poised like half of a swans pair
All the while your beauty is what with my eyes you share

If seeing your beauty is a crime to be jailed for
Put me in a cell magistrate with a view of her shore

Me pouring out the thoughts I had while sitting on the shore of a lake near my house. I do so love the water! A. S.
