A View of Paris
"A VIEW OF PARIS"
the clock points.
a woman, a dress, high heels
no stockings.
her legs were shaved that day.
she drinks and here
comes the challenger,
ready to turn her world upside-
down.
the challenger wants to
stay and the woman wants him
to stay too.
he didn’t tell her
and she didn’t tell
him.
he sits in silence.
swallowing it all…
swallowing it all…
swallowing it all…
now the woman is
in control and she knows it.
she likes it.
inside the explosions of thought
they are closer to happiness.
he’s a breeze over an ocean,
she’s a tsunami.
he’s not allowed to touch her
but she’ll kiss him goodnight.
but explosions of thought
wrap the purple rose
and the clock now laughs
at the blue galoot.
