A Victoriia Long Weekend Fireworks

A Victoria long weekend
Is a long weekend
In the month of May
A gathering allowed
The rue was announced
Only small gatherings
Allowed to be held
Parks of any kind not
allowed
Just held in backyards

Waiting for darkness
then fireworks begin
Sleep interrupted
To wake from sound sleep
Loud pops noises heared
Loudly for hours
Until all is quiet 
Once again to sleep 
soundly

Victoria Day is strictly a Canadian thing. A weekend of celebration and for many, going to the cottage or beach or camping with the opening of walleye season, or a summer fest barbecue. Years ago, Wasaga Beach was the place to go. In fact, Victoria Day was a fun weekend all around Georgian Bay and Northwestern Ontario, not so much anymore in the day of "Woke." Nice write and pleasant memories.

Hello Lasaad Tayeb, Fireworks are beautiful to see. Yet when it last until 2 in the morning. It is hard to sleep. Because you hear the popping sound of the fireworks. Rnjoy your evening my friend.

Hello Rama, yes Rama, fireworks does take away our sleep. For 3 days because it was the long weekend. The fireworks lasted this long. I did not sleep well. Last night I did. oh and it does pollute the air. God bles. Darlene

Hello Mystic rose, Rose, Oh Oh I agree the fireworks are beautiful to see. But when your trying to sleep at night it is a different matter. Because the fireworks they continue until 2 in the morning. So everyone gets a lack of sleep. Your welcome my friend. God bless.

Actually sounds nice. I can usually watch from my back porch but nothing like that happened in Airdrie. Wonder what they will do July 1st. This pandemic has taken the joy out of living for a lot of people. No parties, celeb rations of any kind. Everybody staying away from everybody. As we used to say in the seventies --- Bummer Man! Hello Judy, the rule came out that people are allowed to gather in small crowds. No fireworks in the parks, allowed in the backyards!? That is dangerous. In Walmart nt allowed to buy a book because it is not esential. Yes Bumper Man!! God Bless. Darlene

Hello Evelyn, when there are fireworks I hear them but can not see them. The trees block the view of the fireworks. It goes on until 2 in the morning. So I do not sleep well. Enjoy your day my friend.

Hello Mike Gentile, It is a lovely celebration. It is a celebration of the queen's birthday with fireworks. It could be one more night of fireworks. I hope not they go on until 2 in the morning. Which means another night of lack of sleep. Happy Tuesday xxoo

Hello Tom, it is different with the restrictions. Fireworks age not allowed in the parks. The crowds are to be small ones. Don't know if people followed the rule made. Enjoy your day my friend.

Well done poem, my friend. Yes the fear momgers, international will keep us behind doors like animals. I Really hate it. They will never let us out. We are all mini- Chinas, In the USA, the gov has become a tyrant. So has the media. Midgets with gray hair( FAUCI)) have brainwashed many, we were not allowed out last year. as our governor is a lunatic, Netflix gave money to stop the recall of the dingbat. I never heard of Victoria Day thanks PANGIE XX
