A Verse For Orange and Green

Honey-colored wonder, seeking a sight out of the green Wondering upon the illusions of the ground with thrill Tasting the heat of the soil from some hands that gently planted To the clay of the earthen past and wishes that tomorrow be granted. Way along the pathwalk…her leaves of neon spread out joy and laughter Until the morning comes to touch her face with love When thanksgiving in fall, re- connects time set apart Commence oh heart and sing a ‘jack-o-lantern’ song of glee As if love abides between time and distance…..and embraces you and me.
