A Vernal Libretto

The chorus of spring begins as peeper's                                                                                                                                      chime in time with the crickets on strings                                                                                                                                 Whippoorwill winds with owls being deeper                                                                                                             Musical sounds in the night in full swing                                                                                                                                          Harmonic interludes then the silent song                                                                                                                                          When a bugling bass elk hits a soprano so high                                                                                                                                                joining in are a myriad of birds welcoming the dawn                                                                                                                                     while their cheerful chirps of a jazzy song feels the sky
