A Valentine Wedding
If I were to sing a song,
Your name is the first thing
that would come to my mind,
Because you are so divine,
And I want to call you mine and only mine,
It's to you that my heart and soul are so anxiously confined.
If my heart is what you seek, look no longer,
Because every time I look into your eyes I fall harder and harder,
Though blood is thick, my love for you is thicker than water.
If you asked me to name all of the reasons for why I love you,
I couldn’t because every time I see you it’s something new,
And then I’m left with all these reasons, plus the new ones too.
You are beautiful,
And the words spoken from your mouth are deemed to me as musical.
When you sing me to sleep,
I listen to the vibrations of your voice and heart beat,
And almost to my sweet relief,
I instantaneously feel warmth and comfort against your body heat,
And anytime I’m anxious I ask you this routine to repeat.
We are connected in various ways,
For this I’m grateful and thank God for you everyday.
I want and crave your attention,
To the extents I'd go to receive it, I dare not to mention.
The way you smile, the way you move, even the way you speak,
It doesn’t matter what you do because you’ll always make me undeniably weak.
When you look at me I can hardly speak let alone remember how to breathe,
And when you’re with me, I never really want you to leave,
And though you find it ridiculous that I'll go to the extents to beg and plead,
It's only because you’ve no longer become a want but a need,
And my heart to you I would bequeath,
I hope you’re beginning to understand that there’s really no life without YOU and ME.
