A True Friend
A true friend I thought you were,
you were there when I needed one,
you would be there for me...
that's what i thought...
if only i knew then what i now know...
if only i knew your name with the devils lot you'd throw.
oh, what a fool I'd been!
if I knew you were plotting,
to bring me down,
to see my tears.
that's what i couldn't foresee.
if only i knew then what i now know,
if only I knew your name with the devils lot you'd throw.
Oh, what a fool I'd been!
If I knew you were lying,
when you said you really believed
in our friendship,
but i saw only the truth I wanted to.
If only I knew then what i now know...
If only I knew your name with the devils lot you'd throw
Oh, What a fool I'd been!
