Some thought they heard a lover's fight. To save the woman, no one tried. When she was struggling that night, some thought they heard a lover's fight! Some saw her stagger out of sight. . . where stabbed, then raped, she later died. Some thought they heard a lover's fight. To save the woman, no one tried. Written April 25, 2016 now a re-entry for the Being Invisible Contest of Skat For Picture #3: She was drowning, but nobody saw her struggle

There is so much noise and violence these days - in the movies, on T.V. Cars going by with radios turned way up making the house shake. I agree, though, at least a call to 911. Love, daver

I've been hearing this kind of scenario/story not only in my region but in other places as well. A tragic circumstance indeed. Oh and by the way, I like the form you've applied -- Triolet; it suits the mood. A 7 from me.

People have become so desensitized to violence by all the violence in movies and the news. How sad she died without anyone thinking of coming to her rescue. SuZ

A very intriguing story Andrea. 330 in the morning many aren't going to react to anything. It is a shame because her life could have been saved...Lovely Triolet

the news media was pretty hard on those people. Maybe I would have gone back to bed too. But gosh, I would like to think I would at least have called the police. Somebody did, toward the end. and an old woman went outside and found the dying girl and cradled her in her arms while awaiting the ambulance.
