A Tribute To Single Mothers

How little credit you are given
to have chosen to given birth!
Millions of aborted children~
where are their bodies now?
An answer far too frightening
us to unearth!

You took your child home, no
Daddy to there to help you.
But, oh the joy~~ staring into
those newborn, deep brown eyes.
In the middle of the night, resting this
God-given gift, on your thankful thighs.

The happiness that the haughty, harsh
judging world never sees.
You, proud mother and great life saver.
In the night, on your knees, head bowed.
My God, know much you are loved,
and so heavenly favored!

Hello, Damien! I was thinking of you yesterday))) I haven't commented to your poetry for awhile! These single Moms do quite well. Sure, it's financially hard But they forge ahead and make do. They will see their own children marry one day, the joy of their lives. Glad to see males responding to this poem.after all it takes a male and female to create a child. All poets here were once inside a Mother who gave us a chance to live and love and be poets and more! Gratefully, Pangiota xx

Nice seeing you Demetrios....people do not know the hardships they endure, emotionally band financially. They are harshly judged as being stupid by many. I am glad it touched you..... Panagiota xx

Thanks Tom...one day I will write of the men whose women, took the life of the child they created together and how it harmed and emotionally hurt them. Thanks, my friend, I added a quote from the Talmud since you read it, Panagiota xx

Thanks, Line. I can't imagine the number of women who do this! Many marry later. Some do stay single and raise wonderfully, happy children. I admire them. This good news in never on TV, of course.....Panagiota xx
