A Tribute To Mom

I will always think of you in the days of Autumn Bliss,
With days like summer and cool evenings with air so crisp.

How you loved Autumn days for they inspired you to write,
Of sunflowers, mums and falling leaves in flight.

Car rides to view Autumn's colorful display,
Of kaleidoscopic patterns vividly in play.

Colors of russet, saffron, orange and scarlet,
To the eyes they're an exquisite banquet.

Roadside pumpkins, apples and gourds,
Decorating yards, gardens and doors.

Flocks of robins searching for food,
Looking for the last of the berries deep in the woods.

On your patio were yellow mums so bright,
Surrounded by pumpkins of flaming orange at night.

I will always think of you in the days of Autumn bliss,
No other season gives us more to miss.
