A Trains Life
The train engine roars, out across the plains.
Nothing in it’s way, don’t pull on the reins.
Its gotta make time, before it reaches the valley.
Now it sounds depressed, as it tries to rally.
Working hard, to make the peak.
It stresses and chugs, as it climbs so steep.
Down the grade, with a big ol’ smile.
Soon will come, another hard mile.
As the engine comes, out of another grade and turn.
For the flat and straight, it always yearns.
Now at the yard, It gets some rest.
Before another trip, down life’s test.
