A Tone

You might reach for survival
But it will not reach for you
You can carry on for the most of your days
But the reality will never fade

You can dream of taking
Long walks on sandy beaches
You can exercise the thoughts
Of having a little white house
In Rhode Island

You can search for peace
With in the cliffs
The mountain less skies
But none with be visual or heart found

You can say it was just your culture
That you knew no better
You can wipe away your feelings
As if they were never there

And you can say history is meant to be repeated
That is for those who do not learn
You can journey on
Like good ole men
With bad intent, of coarse

And you can keep praying
For a casualty of beliefs
To sooth your worries

You can beg upon, wars, deceit
And smiles vaguely at your feet
You can carry on as though
Times will not lapse with in you

Worry if you will
For I am not yet done
I spoke from a rose of absence
I gave you the most vulnerable moments
Of a saddened angel
Yet I come to find
That you only wish me away
