A Token of Good Faith

A Token of Good Faith

A token of good faith
For the spirit of silent lips
Lost in the midst of emptiness
With little left to give
But heavy sighs
Blank stares and tearful eyes

A sad and thought-provoking poem, Marckincia. Often the shorter poems have the most impact, as this one does. It is nice to meet you on Poetry Soup ~ John
