A To B
The toys are strewn about
Their randomness makes my mind try to recreate
Just how they ended up in that last position
I understand enough about physics
But I cannot comprehend the delicacies
Of a pure mind that leaves objects
In such a state and then off to the next stage
With the abandon of a conquistador
Running through a Mayan temple
I want the information
I want the tell-tale indications
That makes sense
How did A lead to B
Then I just break down as my knowledge base
Becomes flimsy and apparent
I lost my infinite infant/childhood eyes
Due to this infernal paradigm of growing up
We cloud our children with the heavy burden
Of our own adulthood
Our toys are expensive and ultimately more selfish
Grown-ups have to pay a price for carelessness
The light becomes a higher ground with a bigger price tag
