A Time For Us

The splendorous firmament of my fervent heart
twinkled with the tinsels of the argentine night,
where your glamour gleamed with tantalizing tinge,
suffused with the sequins of the mesmeric moon.

I was entranced by the amorous touch so tempting
of the captivating aura of your intangible charisma,
but you slithered away out of my spellbound sight,
like a clump of autumn cloud across my dream sky.

In the verdant vale vibrant with the rhythm of my heart,
your footprints disappeared in my pining forlorn plateau
beyond the fading turquoise trail of lingering longing,
as I wandered chasing the mystique mirage going nowhere.

From the ebony edge of the dense night of despair,
storm clouds surged with thunders of tearing strife,
splintered my sky once the yearning epitome of adoration,
the flakes of dream slid away dispersed in the debris.

Abandoned at the desolate crypt of the lonely night
I saw you become a shining star in my delusion sky,
sparkled for an enchanting while, disappeared forever.
I felt despondent I didn’t dream enough of a time for us.
