A Thousand Shooting Stars
On an evening of crystalline skies
I pull the edge of the sea
Up around my shoulders like a blanket
And lay back my head to see
Upon a thousand turtles, resting
The heavens are painting a thousand views
of effervescence starlight luminance
As early morning hours wax
Exploding stars arc in brilliant radiance
The momentary apparition of fairy's dust
Falling to earth with dainty step
We watch their birth all snug on Earth
A thousand watching eyes kept
Grateful for stars brief magic glitter
I say goodnight with a thousand blessings
