A Thousand Shite Poems

A Thousand Shite Poems

If I wrote a thousand poems
brutally discarded the half of them
what was left I read once more
before I did the same again

There being left with just two-fifty
repeating that process with regularity
down and down they'd rightly fall
by this point I keep just twenty

Half and half again
ten and five etcetera
unconcerned with even fractions
eureka I've finally got there

Now just one, simple words
not sophisticated clever polished
my filter-ation of liter-ation
please read admire acknowledge
