A Thought Left Behind
I’m tossing and turning;
My heart keeps on yearning;
To a far distant land…..
Please come take my hand?
Give me a beautiful bright day,
A day where you take all the heartache away;
A day that we can laugh
And I can just forget about the past!
Where heartache and pain;
Was fast beginning to gain!
I want to laugh a little,
And act all brittle.
We can run and play;
Just make it our day,
For loving and caring;
And maybe some love sharing.
Finally I’ll be able to look at the world
With big bright eyes;
Where YOU are no more…
A thought left behind;
I want to put YOU
Out of my mind!
