A Thank You Letter To Shannon

You were going to be my Son-in-Law
You had no flaw
Because you made my daughter a better person

Then came the news
Jesse survived
I know you would have wanted Jesse to live!
Thank you young man
You had good plans for you and Jesse
I salute you

When you and Jesse meet up one day
We will sing to the Lord for bringing the two of you together
We will never understand your death
Jesse lives and
She will carry your name

You made my daughter laugh
I salute you young man
You were going to be my Son-in-law
A man with no flaw
You made my daughter a better person
I salute you Shannon
