A Tear Dropped
I dropped a tear in my cup today,
I dropped a few more along the way.
One cracked on it's way down,
Shattered to pieces when it hit the ground.
Like a river they flow at times,
Created from this pain of mine.
They fall so often and seem not to end,
Like the pain in my heart it will not bend.
So I try to hold them in,
And to no avail they fall again.
Trapped in my soul, this pain I feel,
Seems to me my, fate they seal.
They push me hard and weight me down,
They pull me closer,closer to the ground.
No help in site,no one for me will they save,
They will drown me to an early grave.
