A Tear

I surrender sorrow
welcoming the grief
of your touch
my heart beats erratic
breath labors aching sides
and yet discomfort
is intoxicating
in simplicity
too incredible to deny
let eyes swell
burst in reverence
there is no shame
to shed a tear

No there is no shame; and Sharon, your poem is a stirring 'surrender' to the power of tears:) Amitiés
