A Teacher is an actor who truly sets the tone When they step into the classroom students want to feel at home not scared to say what's on their minds or on eggshells about screaming ~ A teacher who befriends his class infuses lives with meaning

You always remember the teachers that love their job and do it to teach, not to preach. Patience, understanding, and approachability are required to do justice to the pupils in the class. Teaching is a very responsible Job. You brought back memories of some delightful school days. Thank you, Gershon

Much truth here, gw. OTOH, one cannot be too buddy-buddy with students. I have found they will take advantage of it. Best, IMHO, to maintain a reserve.

Teachers should be approachable, students shouldn't have to feel awkward or intimidated when they go into class. Tom

Most of my favorite teachers all seemed to like us kids. Why some of the others got into teaching is beyond me. Nevertheless, so many great memories of those days. Nicely penned. John

Hey, thanks, John. I never understood why half of my teachers had a broom stuck up their butts. lol. Before I entered every one of the classes I taught, I'd say, 'Be friendly; be nice.' And then I was. (After all, I'd told myself to be!) Happiness and Joy, Gershon

So true, my teachers back in the day were way cool they didn't have all the restrictions that they have today. Great point my friend! I wasn't the best student lol but, I loved my teachers they were my friends, and I could talk to them about anything.

Glad to hear you had such a nice time in school. My teachers were 180 degrees opposite from yours, with a couple of exceptions -- but I turned the tables myself when I taught. Students and I had a grand old time! Smiles, gw
