A Taste of Reality Pt. 1

“There’s more to life than the ice and doing what you see on MTV, BET, & America ’s Next Top Model.” Yeah I hear that many times. People say this a lot or even when someone dies, but to me I say whatever. Some people say others are using fame to be remembered or reasons why the world is and will remain the same. Just to let you know living the life as a celebrity is okay. At least we stand up for something. Martin Luther King Jr. went through many struggles to get blacks and whites to be equal as one. Even though we still face racism in today’s society. So did he live the life of a celebrity? No, he was fighting for what he believed in and he lived his dreams to get there. Guess what, he wasn’t a celebrity, but he was remembered and they talk about on BET. So all people who dreaming BIG, just don’t dream it live it out to its fullest. Only live for you and nobody else, only you are holding you back. Make your decisions so if you want to be a star or be remembered live it out and let the haters fall back because they’re everywhere you go. We all live this life but it’s all about how you deal with it. Many people can’t accept the truth. Polices say “freeze” we ether got our hands up or we down on our knees. Knowing we didn’t do anything wrong but they’re crooked than anyone else. I learn this from an artist that, “I’m not trying to hurt anybody it’s the people around us that’s trying to hurt us.” White people look and stand out for whites, but blacks we on the same crime. We will fall for anything if we don’t begin to stand for something. Sometimes we need a shoulder to lean on when we cry. We don’t learn how to appreciate the little things but we complain about life. Be thankful for the roof over your head, shoes on you feet, and the clothes on your back. When I think about it, look over in Africa, but doesn’t New Orleans kind of look the same?
