A Taste of Death

They say that at 5:00 p.m.
the dead come back to life
Were they actually dead --
   Do they really revive?

Also, that sleep is a taste of death
   Pray tell, is it?
Does it taste like death?

We don't know what Death is
We imagine it as best we can
Anthropomorphize it, as we do G-d
We dehumanize, demystify -- Pity, that!

Right, W.W. We just don't know about that frontier we call death... Some (including me) hope the soul lives on, and almost can't imagine it not doing so...But really, who knows?! Thanks for your view and viewpoint. ~ gw

So true, Gershon! We will not know until we release that final breath. I think about my dear cousin who died from cancer when she was 52 and then my grandma. Both stories are noteworthy.

Thanks for sharing, Kim, and may your cousin and your grandma rest in peace. Blessings, Gershon
