A Taste For Importance
A flavor on my tongue
A signal solid and delivered
A decision built on feeling alone
Torturous as a scratch in my throat
A ghost brought upon from my past
A whisper of a plan
It’s what I want
It’s what I believe I need
I convince myself I’m nothing without it
I have a taste for importance
An unjust decision to be what the world needs
As necessary as the stars
As crucial as the keeper of the sun
To be the only one to stand and heal
To hold the hands of the world
I’ll slip into the ultimate responsibility
It’s the only thing I think I need to be seen
