A Taste

Sometimes, I am afraid;
And would like to know
How life will taste
Before it is in my mouth.

Not sure what was written before, but the above makes sense to me. Writing does not have to be in black and white. I like it when poets use different ways of expressing their way of writing. That's what makes writing unique. Nice read from my eyes Deb >> James :)

Dear C.L., if you are reading this again, please let me know what you think of this version. I let go of the need to be clever in saying something very simple...

I guess I'm trying to say I sometimes want to know what is going to happen without taking the risk required to make it happen. Like life, when you hold back in the shadows, afraid. So what I was trying to say, perhaps too ambiguously here, is that sometimes I want to see what life taste likes before I put it in my mouth. But you're right... That last line is awkward.
